What a night 🎥❤️
Back in April, we hosted our second REC:MCR event at Campfield and welcomed 60+ filmmakers, creatives and video professionals from across Manchester and the wider North West.
The whole evening was built around collaboration, conversation and community. We had an incredible headline panel with the Hallows family sharing stories and insights from careers spanning TV drama, production, cinematography and music videos, plus a brilliant audience Q&A that could’ve gone on all night.
Huge shoutout to Darren Jeffries for hosting and comparing the evening so brilliantly. He brought so much energy, humour and warmth to the event and helped make the whole night feel really special.
And a massive thank you to Alex Stone for an incredible ‘Show & Tell’ session about his upcoming film project. Honest, inspiring and exactly the kind of creative insight we want REC:MCR to champion.
One of the things I loved most about the night was seeing so many different production companies, filmmakers and creatives in one room together. Some of the people there are, technically speaking, Coolbox’s direct competition – but honestly, I think peer support, collaboration and friendship are far more important than gatekeeping ❤️
The North West creative scene is full of ridiculously talented people, and events like this prove there’s room for everyone to grow together.
And most importantly… get the next REC:MCR in your calendar now:
